Crazy Cat Sounds! Leopard Lynx Caracal
“Crazy Cat Sounds!” is a quick look at some of the interesting sounds that the feline species can produce.
We all may have heard a domestic cat meow, a lion roar, or even a tiger chuff- but here we have a lynx, caracal, and leopard.
The leopard grunt was the hardest to capture as they never wanted to make the sound when I had my camera out or in the day light hours.

I’m a zoology post-doc specializing in the ecology/ethology of New World canids with a masters in population genetics and evolution. I was also on the board of an anti-zoo organization, but I retired because I have too much work. My students come first.

I don’t know if …
I don’t know if they prefer captivity if they were originally wild, since it would be an unfamiliar environment, but I agree an animal raised in captivity would be more comfortable in the care of responsible humans than scared and lost in unfamiliar territory with threats it doesn’t know how to deal with. The Life of Pi IS a great example of this!

yeah, I know what you mean. Just the other day I was saying to a giant rabbit: “ugh, this planet earth is so confining! we should be free to roam between planets!”
