Do you have any funny incidents involving your cat or cats?

I’m trying to get some ideas together for a book about cat behavior. I won’t use your story unless I get permission, but I trying to decide if their enough material to pitch the book.

Three cats own me. The littlest one, Pitiful, was bottled fed for three weeks (she was abandoned in my front yard). I was a stomach sleeper and she would crawl under my chin and purr herself to sleep. As she got bigger, she couldn’t understand why she didn’t fit in her "sleeping" space anymore. One night, I wouldn’t move my arms to accommodate her and she just kept trying to wedge herself in. I couldn’t help but laugh as she sat back and seemed to study how to get into her space. Next thing I know, she is BACKING her way under my chin. I laughed so hard, my husband woke up. I now sleep on my side with a grey tiger-striped, purring body pillow.

My two were chasing each other around the house like the little freaks they are. One of them ran into the office and turned on the vacuum cleaner by accidentally jumping on the switch. Big puffy tails after that one!

People love funny cat stories. You can probably sell your book to gift shops. :-) Or go web-only like Icanhazcheesburger or however it’s spelled.

    I have a ton.

One I always found funny was when my cat chased a dog out our yard. She is only 8.5 pounds. One day I had her on her leash in my front yard. All of a sudden a neighbors dog comes walking by. The owner’s were not around. The dog was a full grown Labrador, I would guess around 60-85 pounds. My cat saw him and chased after him. He saw her and ran away with his tail curled behind his legs. I have always thought it funny that he could be scared of something so small like my cat!

    Good luck on your book!

One day as I lay on my bed watching my cat she was not aware I was watching.

The bottom drawer of the dresser was open. She just started taking items out of the drawer with her paws and claws, one at a time. I kept watching to my amazement. Then when the drawer was practically empty, she jumped in there got cozy and lied down with only her head popping out.

I thought this was one of the cutest things she ever did.

My nosy cat was walking the toilet and jumped to get to the tank and fell in the toilet with pee in it. i had to yell don’t pet the yellow cat.

My cat the male plays chase through the house with me, and hide n seek.

My girl I can pick her up, and burp her like a baby, she really loves it.

Her newest thing has been to be jump on me while looking in the mirror, be it while I am bent over, her sitting on my back, I even had her on my head with a towel on it. She has also jumped from the counter to me, of course freshly showered.I knew it was coming, she is
    so bad.

She is also obsessed with the toilet flushing.

They both get curious when I am in the tub, he has almost fell in, she I can get her tail in the water and doesn’t notice. They cry and sniff me, trying to figure why I am in the all the water they hate. She has also walked on me while in the tub.

Couple years ago I had a cat that would sit at the bus stop when I sent the kids to school, and she would race me back home.

my kitten sleeps across my neck at night, or my cheek whatever is available.
i have a chihuahua and a kitten and the kitten thinks my chihuahua is her mommy, and she also thinks she’s a dog, you can tell!

also my chihuahua thinks she’s a great dane or something because she bullies even the biggest dogs, and kicks her legs at them lol.

oh and my old cat would sleep in the sink with a leaky faucet, since he was laying on the drain the water would start to get deep and he would just sleep away, i would have to make him get up so it wouldn’t overflow, he loved water!

I have many. I had a cat that was mentally retarded. I named her Goofy before I knew she had a problem, but the name was perfect. The cat did not learn to jump off anything until it was five years old. It would just go to the edge and fall off. Jumping up it would not look before it leaped,, and some of the things that happened were straight out of a cartoon. I had another cat that liked to tease dogs, and the neighbors hated us because of it. I had a cat that would eat using it paw like a person uses their hand. Then there was the solid black cat that liked to sleep on the solid black rug in the bathroom, the invisible cat made several visitors panic. One woman wet her pants when she stepped on it. Feel free to emailed me, I can expand these stories and add several more.

my cat Homer loves to sleep on my pillow. i use two pillows to sleep on. so i have one against the wall and the other one half way down the first one for my head to rest on. my cat would then jump on the bed and lay on the pillow against the wall. If the kitty litter box is too full or stinky, my cat would jump on the couch and start sniffing the cushions for a place to do his duty on. One time i caught him tearing up the newspaper i had left on the couch. I looked at him and asked the cat if he was a cat or a dog! lol

before we got Homer, we had a cat named Oreo. He would eat his food from his paw. Oreo would scoop up the food in his paw and bring it to his mouth to eat. Oreo loved to watch tv with us. One time, we had to go out for an errun. We told the cat to watch our soaps for us and to let us know what we missed when we got back. Well when we walked into the house, there was Oreo watching the tv. When i asked him what we missed, he meowed to us like he was having a conversation. lol

There is so many!! I guess the funniest thing Taz has done was when my boyfriend’s brother brought his dog over to our house, he is a Miniature doberman, and I did not know there was a dog here and Taz was sitting next to me while I was working at my desk, as he is now, and all the sudden a little dog comes zipping by us. We both looked up but Taz’s neck went straight out and his head twisted and his back arched and he was trying to keep focus on this zipping dog and I never seen his tail fluff out as far as it did. I did not know a cats tail could get so big. I yelled for Gabby to get his dog before it dies and the chase was on. All you could hear was claws hitting the floor from both animals. Next thing I know the dog is screaming and we all were running. It was soooo funny!!! Now if he comes they just chase each other.
