One of the kittens is breathing funny….HELP!!!?
They woke up in time for their feeding so I fed them all but this one, after it was done feedng sounded like it had a crackling noise when it breathed. It didnt happen when it was picked up though.
Did I do something wrong?
is the kitten going to be ok?
I’ve heard about when the kittens get fluid in their lungs it’s fatal, could I have done this?
I feel SO bad :*(
please help……
they are about 3 days old now and I’m feeding them a bottle I got from the veterenarians office.
the momma cat ran away and I am feeding them formula
I emailed my cousin who work @ a vet. I will try answer your " q " 2morrow " this message will continue after I get anything back from her…..
PS your doing a good job just by being there for them!!! that’s awesome !!!!
6/13: sorry I didn’t get back to u yesterday. My cuz said that most kitten when they are born have that issue. Its the fluids in their lungs, when they were in their mothers stomach. Its something we can’t control. Just make sure that kitten is warm ( not too hot either ) and feed 1st then the other ones.

Are you feeding them with a bottle? How old are they? You can’t do much for the sick one except take it to a vet.It may have fluid in it’s lungs.

It sounds like there is fluid in the lungs for sure. Call the vet right now. There is always one who will do emergancy calls.

How old are the kittens? Is the Mama cat still with them? It does sound as though the kitten has fluid in the lungs.
More information would be helpful.
Also, what did you feed the kitten? Are they on solid food or still nursing?
The way you worded your question, I’m not sure if you fed this one or not.
I don’t think you did anything wrong if you handled all kittens in the same manner and this is the only one not breathing right.
Take it to the vet if it continues or it could possibly die.
